TOP D.O.G.S. Leadership Forum
While the WATCH D.O.G.S.® Program is administered by the school campus in the majority of cases, it is true that it is an initiative run by the PTA in a large number of cases. Many times, it is thought that PTA is for the women and WATCH D.O.G.S.® is for the men. Both are more effective when everyone is involved, and both benefit from close collaboration. We invited the Texas state PTA VP of Programs and Resources, Melinda Samberson to come on to share her insights into the program and talk about why it’s so important for men to get involved, not just in WATCH D.O.G.S.® but also the PTA.
We also talk about how the PTA can use WATCH D.O.G.S.® as a revenue source and a means to attract more men to get involved, and how the campus WATCH D.O.G.S.® program and can lean on PTA for administrative and budgetary support.
